St Josephs Catholic Primary School

Welcome to St. Joseph’s

St. Joseph’s is a one form entry, Catholic Primary School. We cater for children from the age of 3 to 11. It is a small, friendly school, where each child is valued and respected. We aim to provide a caring, safe, secure and stimulating environment where your child is encouraged to become self confident and an independent learner.

I believe that the partnership between parents and school is vitally important and I invite you to be fully involved in both your child’s education and in the whole life of the school.

I am very proud to be part of the community of

St. Joseph’s and I look forward to developing the bond between home and school and, as the school which serves the Catholic Parishes of St. Joseph’s Darlaston and

St. Mary’s Willenhall, between home, school and church.

Working in partnership, we can ensure that your child enjoys their time at St. Joseph’s and reaches their full potential.

If you require further information please contact me at the school.

Mr. Kevin Mee - Headmaster

Criteria for Admission to Nursery

In all cases you should contact the Head Teacher at the school of your choice. If there are more applicants than places available, the Head Teacher will admit children having regard to (in order of priority)

1. Brother or sister already in attendance at the school.

2. Relevant medical and social factors.

3. Proximity of home address to the school as the crow flies.

Sometimes parents place their child’s name on a school’s Nursery waiting list at a very early stage. It must be understood that decisions on Nursery admissions are made only by reference to the above criteria and not to the date the child’s name was entered on the waiting list. It should also be noted that, while children will normally transfer from the Nursery class to the Reception class in the same, it cannot always be guaranteed.

Children of parents who pay their Council Tax to Walsall only may be admitted to St. Joseph’s Nursery.
