The School is situated within 120 acres of grass and woodland in the East Coast village of Aberdour, between the towns of Dalgety Bay and Burntisland. The nearest large towns are Kirkcaldy to the east and Dunfermline to the west, both of which are approximately nine miles from Aberdour.

The railway line through the village is part of the main route from Edinburgh to Aberdeen and there are regular services and connections from north and south. The railway station is directly opposite the main entrance to the School.

There are regular direct bus services to Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and Edinburgh and an hourly service between Dunfermline and Glasgow.

Aberdour is easily accessible by road, having nearby motorway links to the north and west. The journey time from Glasgow and Dundee is approximately one hour.

The School has four residential units which provide 52-week accommodation for 35 boys.

The Cottage is a purpose-built, 8-bedded detached residence which offers high quality accommodation in single or twin bedded rooms with a high standard of bathroom/shower provision.

The House is a Georgian mansion which provides accommodation for 9 residents. Accommodation is of a similarly high standard to the Cottage, albeit on a slightly larger scale. The overall atmosphere is generally one of warmth and homeliness.

Forthview is contained within the main school building and accommodates 9 residents in a very high standard of accommodation consisting of all the elements contained within the previous two units but within an upstairs conversion from former dormitory accommodation. Brightly furnished and decorated public rooms and well personalised single and twin bedded rooms provide the residents with a comfortable, warm and homely living environment.

Westwood is a 9 bedded unit. It is of a similar high standard to Forthview and is brightly decorated and fitted with modern furniture and equipment.
