The requirements of both the National Curriculum and Tameside's Entitlement Curriculum determine the content and organisation of our school's curriculum. Planning is circumscribed by the National Curriculum programmes of study and by the L.E.A's expectation that the needs of the pupils will be met by the use of a thematic approach to learning for some of the time.
For each year group, the curriculum comprises a daily Literacy hour, a daily Numeracy hour, Music, Physical Education, Technology, I.C.T., Art, Geography, History, Drama and some other aspects of Language - which are taught where possible, through a theme.
Religious Education is taught as a separate subject and follows the agreed syllabus for R.E. in Tameside. A copy of the syllabus is available in the school.
